Whenever life feels as if it is at its most impossible, it is also at its most magical. You don't believe this? How is it then that every time we get ourselves into what seems like a most impossible pickle, something magically happens to rescue us from it? And if it doesn't? Perhaps the situation was not, in the first instance, as impossible as we imagined. Perhaps it was only too possible, unless the outcome was only too ordinary. But if your position this week is as impossible as you fear, you need merely sit back and await the magic.
We don't all want to do what others want us to do. But most of us would rather meet the expectations that we feel are being placed upon us, than be thought of as unhelpful. Yet even if we strive to be compliant and congenial, there is a risk that we may misunderstand someone else's need. Assumptions often lead to errors.
