There is often a big difference between how things appear to be and how things actually are. We are all aware of this to some extent. Unconsciously, we factor it into our plans - even if we don't deliberately set out dispel myths. We are keen to avoid seeming foolish. But just because there is often such a disparity, we shouldn't assume that there is invariably such a gap. Whilst you must make an allowance for a potentially deceptive situation, you should also allow for the possibility of encountering a pleasant surprise,
What we all seek is clarity. What we all tend to get is confusion. Why might that be? Perhaps clarity is elusive because it is temporary and deceptive. Whenever we think we have it, we are under a delusion - and delusion is a form of confusion! Perhaps those who seek wisdom should acknowledge as much and make a state of bewilderment the goal from the outset. At least then, we could be reliably clear about whether or not we had attained it. Mysteries aren't always to be solved. Sometimes, they deserved to be cherished.
