Does what we don't know worry us more than what we do know? How can it? If we really don't know something, we can't even notice whether it exists or not. Directors of horror films show vague shapes in the background because they are always more menacing than monsters in close up. What we glimpse is invariably more electric than what we gaze at. Amongst many uncertainties in your world now is a 'devil-you-know.' Before you decide to stick with what you are sure of, you had best be sure that you are sure of it!Sometimes, anything is better than nothing.

 Are you in the frying pan? You might as well try the fire. It can't be any worse. You had better be sure, though, that things are as bad as they seem. But are they as bad as they seem? Desperate measures are only appropriate in desperate situations. What is really so desperate about your situation now? You may face the kind of situation in which the right kind of nothing is far preferable to the wrong kind of something. Your challenge now, is all about patience and discrimination.

Some people know how to say all the right things. They don't actually do anything, but that often doesn't seem to matter. Words speak louder than actions - especially to those who are listening but not looking. You are now dealing with a promise-maker. Are you also dealing with a promise-keeper? Consider this person's track record. Then set your expectations accordingly. Remember today, explanations and justifications are all very well, but you now need to be looking for demonstrations, not remonstrations.

Peace. Harmony. Prosperity. Tolerance. Understanding. Comfort. Quiet. Tranquillity. Security. Compassion. Consideration. Well-being. And where, pray tell, is the fun and excitement in any of that? We like a bit of an edge. A tiny touch of darkness. A little glimpse of something naughty, tense, even terrifying. No conflict? No challenge. It's not that a problem now needs to be totally solved. It just needs toning down somehow. The proportions are not right. But they can be made better. And they are about to be
