We all wrestle with moral dilemmas. We must somehow try to reconcile mutually-exclusive needs whilst finding ways to justify seemingly hypocritical choices. And we must, for the sake of our sanity, recognise that we are never likely to do this impeccably.  So don't be baffled by current silliness in your emotional life. Just take it in your stride and be open-minded.  Romeo and Juliet is not really a romantic story. The hero and heroine do not live happily ever after. They die tragically at a young age. Still, at least they don't have time to grow old together and get caught up in endless bickering about whose turn it is to do the washing-up. Real life is not like in the storybooks and real love is not the same thing as romantic fantasy. Your love life now brings a reality check and the chance to create a wonderful new reality. Don't, in pining for what you won't have, miss the value of what you've got.
