When we think of 'grown-ups' we tend to conjure up images of professional people, dressed in suits, making very serious statements about discipline, politics... or money. Are such people true, mature adults, or are they just kids, acting big by putting on a show? Any fool can have an opinion, a stance or an attitude. Wise people know, though, that there are some things in life that they just don't know.
Have they ever said it in such a way that makes you feel able to completely believe them? Has the compliment come from someone whose opinion you trust? Have you been able to convert that praise into the kind of confidence that helps you make things happen? Have you felt appreciated for who and what you really are, not just what you seem to be?
