It surely makes sense, in your personal life now, to take full advantage of an offer of help. You may feel there's not a lot of emotional responsibility that you can safely delegate because you can see so many details that others may overlook. But don't underestimate someone else's intelligence. Neither should you underestimate your own ability to explain clearly. There are some tasks you can pass on. One reason you are now finding life awkward is because you are carrying too much weight. Offload a little.
Time is like a river. It never stops flowing in one direction. It has its high and low tides too. There are moments when we all feel as if our supply of time is running low and moments when it seems we have too much time to fill. In the first few days of January, every year, we all become conscious of time's passage and we all start to wonder if perhaps we might make better progress on that river, if we were to pay some remedial attention to our boat. Your dream of a more comfortable ride to a safer future is entirely attainable.Trust God.
More people live on Planet Earth right now, than have ever lived here before. By this, I don't just mean the population is a bit bigger. I mean that if you were to add together everyone who has ever lived on earth, generation after generation, since recorded time, you'd get a number smaller than the population today. So much for reincarnation then! Some of us, at least, must be on our first visit! And what are we here for? Events in your emotional life soon, give you a real taste of how good life can be when its good!
We all have closets. They all contain skeletons. Some of us have managed to jam shut the doors over the locks in a desperate effort to contain those lurking secrets from the past. Others, it would appear, have replaced those closet doors with pieces of glass and installed electric lights that cause those bones to glow so brightly that they can be seen for miles. You don't need to illuminate your own for the benefit of others now. But  you may need to look at what you are hiding away. Sometimes, some of us get so caught up in the desire to exchange attractive looking gifts that we hardly stop to think about what they actually contain. Yet your need for substance to be seen as more important than style. And whenever the substance is significant enough, the style hardly matters. What you are offering to do for yourself  matters far more than how you are planning to do it.Do you know what needs to change? For it looks as if the thing you may most need to change is your idea about what needs to change! Is your vision a little too specific and fixed? It could prove much healthier to drop some preconceptions, abandon various expectations. Allow yourself instead to bob about for a little while like a small boat on the ocean of uncertainty. Try to resist the temptation to capture and harness the wind of change, just relax while you see where it blows you. TV Shows that have been created to satisfy the needs of millions must be fast-moving and superficial. To cover a subject in any depth and detail, programmes must be slower. We can say much the same about the sweeping generalisations that people often offer each other by way of advice. You can't do, what everyone seems to think you ought to do. For your plans to be right, they must take your individual circumstances properly into account.
How much struggle, strife and stress does it have in store for you? Should you be steeling yourself for setbacks? Are even your most modest expectations far too fanciful? Why, of course not! I As you have already become unnecessarily apprehensive and defensive. The most important resolution that you need to make now involves a new, determined, decision. You feel you need to equip yourself for the various pitfalls and problems that could soon occur in your emotional life. As you investigate those numerous potential difficulties, take care not to persuade yourself that you are making a big mistake. You are doing no such thing. Keep the upside in mind at all times. Life is effectively inviting you to try something that's next to impossible. But on the road to the heart, the one that leads to contentment and delight, guess what's always next to be found next to 'impossible'?So stop questioning and doubting yourself so much.
Are you working hard enough? Are you paying appropriate attention to your duties and responsibilities? Are you applying sufficient discipline to all the commitments that you must keep to and the promises that need to be honoured? Perhaps you should redouble your efforts - or perhaps not. Perhaps you are already doing at least as much as you need to be doing, if not more. Perhaps too, you owe yourself a little more leeway. There is not just real room in your life now for greater levity; there is a real need for it.
It was Oscar Wilde who famously said, 'I can resist anything but temptation.' And right now, his comment can serve as the voice  as very often You face several strong temptations that may sway you from the commitments that you have bravely made to your resolution. But unlike Oscar, you can resist them!
Wishes require neither effort nor strategy. We close our eyes, we make them then we hope for the best. Resolutions take effort and commitment. But on the road to the heart, the one that leads to contentment and delight, guess what's always next to be found next to 'impossible'?

I want to ply my boat, many times, Across the gulf-after-death, And return to earth's shores from my home in Heaven. I want to load my boat With those waiting, thirsty ones who are left behind, And carry them by the opal pool of iridescent joy Where my Father distributes His all-desire-quenching liquid peace.

After every storm comes a time of calm. After every time of calm comes another storm. If you want life to be truly enjoyable, you have to enjoy the wind and rain as much as the warmth of peace. Clearly, though, they must be appreciated in different ways for different reasons. But it is possible to thrive in conditions some people find undesirable. And, if you can master this art, you can enjoy tranquillity much more without worrying lest it deserts you. Be glad of all that's good in your emotional life and fear no loss. There are times when it's deeply inappropriate to rush and times when it makes all the sense in the world to hurry. So far, so good. Awkwardly, though, there are also times when we can't be sure what sort of times we are living through! Should we speed up? Should we slow down? Should we push on? Should we pull back? You have a real need and reason to get a move on. Don't panic or overreact, but do summon your determination and keep plugging away at the most important objective in your emotional life.
