THOUGHTS

If you ate breakfast yesterday, why do you have to eat it again today? Haven't you learned all there is to learn from that experience? And what about sleep? You have had quite a lot of that in your life, even if you sometimes think that you haven't really had enough. But what is the point in aspiring to have even more? The answer, of course, is that we don't just keep doing these things because we are trying to perfect an art or practice a technique; we do them because we need to do them. You are doing what you need to do now.
People rarely say exactly what they mean and therefore, it stands to reason, they rarely mean exactly what they say. For this, we should probably all give thanks. At least there's some leeway, some room for manoeuvre and some scope for the application of imagination. Our journey through life otherwise might be a lot more straightforward; but roads without curves and intersections soon prove rather tedious for travellers. You now need just enough clarity to ensure that you are going in roughly the right direction. So be happy.
But many people who found it extremely annoying. 'Don't worry, be happy? That's not the answer! There are issues that must be faced and problems that urgently need to be solved. They won't go away just because you ignore them.' But actually, sometimes, some of them will. Every so often, we all stop and wonder why we bother. Why do we put in so much effort? Why do we fight so hard against the forces of adversity? All they ever seem to do is regroup and challenge us in some other way.
Why not just let them win and save the energy? But then we remember how satisfactory a sense of victory can be and, with renewed hope and enthusiasm, we steam on again. You have had your what's next-moment now enjoy what it was, to acknowledge the way in which your life seems to be full of things that don't make sense. But if they seem to make sense of a kind, trust the sense they seem to make.
Keep calm and carry on.' That's the catch phrase at the moment. If you haven't seen it already on mugs and greetings cards in nearby stores, it can only be a matter of time before they make their way on to the shelves. And if you are only too familiar with the range, enjoy it while you can. Sooner than you think, it will be last year's thing. But then, that's true of all friends and phenomena. They come and go in waves, like tides and the same can be said of problems.Logic puzzles are easy enough to solve if you go at them with enough determination. If the lady with the cat lives at number 35 and the person who resides behind the green door is a dog owner, then piece by piece we can work out who lives at which house and what kind of pet they've got. As long as we have enough clues to work with, we can eventually piece everything together. But the moment you are having an emotional reaction to any of the topics in the exercise, clarity flies out of the window,be logical.
If tomorrow ends up getting cancelled, will they give out refunds? And when will we be able to claim them? Without a tomorrow, there can hardly be a day after tomorrow. Perhaps that's why the world keeps on giving us brand new days. Perhaps it simply has no mechanism by which to withdraw its services or handle the complaints that might ensue. Just as surely as the sun will rise tomorrow, there will be positive change in your life. The progress that you seek, is not only attainable, it is very slowly happening.
A little modesty is a wonderful thing. All good parents teach their children not to boast, brag or blow their own trumpets. But it is always very important when communicating such a point, not to swing to the other extreme and suggest that any form of self-confidence must automatically be illusory or misplaced. And while it is one thing for you to act with humility and to downplay some of your achievements, it is absolutely not okay for someone else to cover you in criticism. Some lines now need to be drawn.
You have a natural inclination to look for ideal solutions. Wherever possible, you don't just want to find a plan that looks likely to work, you want one that works brilliantly, that satisfies as many requirements as possible and pleases the largest number of interested parties. You might think, given all this altruism, that you would be the recipient of much praise and appreciation. Yet sometimes, you seem to end up creating controversy. That's because people are... well, they are people! Don't take it too seriously.
Why don't other people think like you think? You must have often wondered that. Perhaps you have even tried to discuss this with friends and family. But probably, they can't shed any more light on it because they don't think like you think either! Possibly one big reason for your ability to be so incisive and astute is that, for as long as you are supplying so many impressively accurate observations, you can effectively save everyone else the trouble. You may feel a little isolated now, but you are not wrong.
There's a government cover up going on. Don't you know? Haven't you heard? The powers-that-be are conspiring to make us do this or think that, or suffer in some dreadful way. Of course they won't admit it but it is obvious and easy to see once you have visited the right kind of internet sites. Or is it? The trouble with that kind of thinking, is that it attributes a lot of intelligence and good organisation to institutions and individuals who have notoriously proven themselves to be inept. Be careful where you attribute blame today.
