It is all well and good to save for a rainy day, if you can feel sure that the immediate future contains nothing but sunshine. But tomorrow's umbrella won't keep you dry in today's downfall. With that in mind, we may need to look at the investments that you are now making in the long-term future. We could be talking about compromises you are making in the hope that one day they will bring you a reward.
Don't let a compromise become a sacrifice. If ever there was a time when you might expect your fortunes to change for the better, you are fast approaching it. You should therefore be willing to give the benefit of the doubt graciously to all that's happening now, even if you are not yet sure whether you like it.'I want to be happy, but I won't be happy, till I make you happy too.' So goes the old song by Youmans and Caesar, written for the 1925 musical, What a marvellous sentiment it expresses.
Wouldn't the world be such a better place if only more of us were willing to take pleasure in finding out what might please those around us and then doing our best to supply this? Making someone else happy this really will make you happy too! Brain surgeons and rocket scientists can consider themselves exempt from the statement I am about to make. Some subjects in life genuinely are complicated. But there are many situations that appear to be much more convoluted than they actually are.
People like to use grand words and confusing phrases to make themselves seem more important or to deter others from seeing quite how simple the solution to a problem might really be,a chance to attain clarity in a situation that has begun to seem perplexing. what is happening in your life. Somehow, you are having to slow down and in the process, you are encountering opportunities that you might have been too busy to see. Take, for example, some of the chances that are starting to arise for you. Feel free to seize them!
Can you remember when you first learned to ride a bicycle? One moment you couldn't get the knack of it and the next moment, you were happily pedalling away. How did that happen? You can't really explain the process that took place. It just involved a moment of letting go and of somehow believing that what you were trying to do was really possible. In a similar way, you have lately been attempting to master a tricky art. You have made several attempts with varying results.
This  is a breakthrough to understand our heavenly inheritance, not manipulate it.'It changes when the sun goes down around here...' So sang the Arctic Monkeys. The lyrics expressively describe the dramas that unfold on some streets after dark, and the way in which a more shadowy side of human nature is then revealed.  You are starting to see a different side to a certain other person and perhaps too, to yourself. It is taking some getting used to but it really isn't all bad.
Let us consider the factor in your life that currently makes you feel most exasperated. We need not dwell on it long. Indeed, I am sure you won't want to spend much time on it because it makes you feel so uncomfortable! But what if it were not quite as much of a problem as you have begun to fear? What if there were actually a simple solution to everything? What if it were your very reluctance to even contemplate an issue that was preventing you from seeing how it might be resolved? Expect a discovery, rendering you even more attractive and charismatic than usual. Indeed, even if you have lately begun to feel that you have reason to doubt your ability to exude great quantities of charm, it must surely be becoming clear to you that you are held in high regard by certain important other people.
Is this simply a nuisance or is this potentially useful to you? you will start to see some encouragingly viable ways to turn your popularity into a distinct advantage. I have been using colourful language to depict an inner-conflict that I suspect you are now grappling with. One part of you has grown used to seeing the world in a particular way. To support this view, you have developed various strategies and habits.
Yet, as you now attempt to rewrite the story of who you are, where you stand and how you wish to conduct yourself in future, it becomes clear that the old ways are not necessarily the best ways. Somehow, you must take a leap of faith.
Buy one, get one free!' So proclaim the signs at many a retail outlet. Such offers are popular with the public and with the vendors. But are they really such bargain? If you can have two for the price of one, why can't you just have one for half price? If you only need one, what's the point of two? Potentially, it is a problem. You are now either obliged to make good use of that spare or to feel guilty because it was wasted.
With that in mind, let us turn to what's on offer to you. You don't have to take more than you need. How do we know when we are making the wrong choices? How can we tell when we are being wise or foolish? If we really had an infallible ability to distinguish, we would never put a foot wrong. So, what must have happened every time we made a mistake? We didn't do this deliberately, so we can fairly safely assume that the difficulty lay in a misplaced sense of certain.age in questioning an assumption.
