When we don't know someone very well, we tend to be on our best behaviour. The ability to relax in someone's company can also imply an acceptance that there is no need to make a good impression. There are times when such privileges can be abused. But isn't it nicer to know that you are trusted than to think of yourself as someone that others are nervous of? If difficult issues have lately arisen due to lines being crossed and boundaries becoming blurred, allow an opportunity for healing forgiveness. If this hadn't happened, that might never have occurred. Why was one particular decision ever reached? Couldn't anyone see what it was going to lead to? With questions like these we all torture ourselves. We wallow in regret and recrimination when we ought to be embracing the opportunity of each fresh new moment, then we wonder why our lives seem to lack magic and fun. There are aspects of the past that you must, indeed, recall and learn from. But there are other memories that it is safe for you to let go of.
