If someone just wants to draw a veil over an unacceptable situation or outright refuses to concede anything bad about it, forgiveness may be misplaced, even if it lightens a load to offer it. If an apology is sincere, if a mistake is recognised, how can it be right to hold on to anger? Life is not asking you to do something superhuman, just perhaps to be ready to do something very right and very human.
