'You can't have everything.' How do they know? Why do they say that? What if they only say it because they have already got everything and they don't want you to have any of it? Or, perhaps, they haven't got everything. They resent this, so they discourage as many people as possible from aspiring to fulfilment. If they can't have everything, then they are darned if they can see why you should have everything. Anyway, no matter what they say or why they say it, ignore them. Just possible, you can. 'The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over again whilst expecting a different result.' But how can we trust people who say this? We don't know how sane, or otherwise, they are. Sometimes, when we persistently repeat an exercise, we improve our ability to perform it - and then we get a very different result indeed. There is something very familiar about the process you are currently going through but it is bringing fresh discovery too.Life is itself a repetition of events.
