I WANTED TO SEE - A STORY

This book was written by a women who was blind,she had only one eye that too was covered by dense scars that she had to do all -seeing through one small opening  in the left of the eye.She was fond of reading so she read book holding  it up close to her face and felt intense strain so she had to stop reading.She did her reading at home,holding a book of large  print so close to her eye that her eyelashes brushed the book.But she earned two college degrees:- A.B  from the university of Minnesota and a master degree from Columbia University.She start teaching and rose until she become professor of journalism and literature. She taught for thirteen years,deep in
her heart she was expecting total blindness .To overcome this she adopted a cheerful attitude towards life.

In 1943 at the age of 52 she was operated and could see forty times as well as she could ever been able to see before. Now she  could see through the window sparrows flying in the sky.Now she can wash her dishes and play with soap bubbles,could see brilliant colours of a miniature rainbow. she thanked god thousand times a day for these oppotunities given to her by lord.

But we have been too blind to see,to satiate to enjoy  lot of gift given to us by god unasked. we are in the habit of counting our troubles and not the blessing of our parents and above all love and blessing showered by almighty.
