You can't just do nothing. You have got to do something. And, if you are inclined to feel that the only step you can take is one that doesn't really amount to very much, you have still got to take it with confidence and give it every chance of success. When we do things half-heartedly, when we secretly doubt the words that are coming out of our own mouths or the actions that we find ourselves taking, we never get far. It is now so important for you to be decisive. What little strength you have is a spark. It can be fanned into such a flame. There's a famous old Asian spiritual story about a genie who lends a magical stone to a man. 'This will,' explains the djinn, 'turn lead into gold.' The man is grateful. He is about to use it when he sees the price of lead. It isn't cheap these days! He decides to wait in case the price falls. The genie returns to collect the stone. 'But I haven't used it yet,' says the man. 'It is too late now.' comes the reply. I know about you know what! Don't ask how I found out. Anyway, the real question is, 'How are you going to handle the situation that has started to arise as a result of this?' Well, for one thing, you can resolve to stop worrying about how much information anyone else has.
Has anyone ever told you that you can be infuriatingly stubborn? You can dig in your heels, refuse to budge, hold on tight. Quite possibly, you have been criticised for this in the past but such traits and tendencies are actually rare and impressive. They should be considered admiral, even enviable qualities. Those who seek success in life know their value only too well. They know your value too. Even if a situation makes you feel tense whenever you think about it, that tension is ultimately positive.  reach a settlement. You come to an understanding. You complete a process of negotiation. You answer a question that has long been outstanding. Yet none of this can directly relate to the issue you currently imagine to be the most crucial and pressing. Somewhere along the line, on top of everything else, you make a discovery. You see what is truly a priority and, once you identify this, you see where you can easily afford to give way, as long as this allows you to protect your most crucial interest. If we don't experiment, we don't learn. If we don't allow ourselves to make mistakes, we don't discover what works. If we don't push our luck, how will we ever know how far luck can be pushed? If we don't ask questions, where are the answers going to come from? When you stand back and look at your life now, you can easily find plenty to doubt or criticise. Yet that's taking a very superficial view. If you look more deeply into what's happening, you will find a courageous person on the verge of making a great breakthrough.
What goes up must come down. But there are various forms and speeds of descent, some far preferable to others. You are right to suspect that a particular 'good thing' can't last forever. But you are wrong to feel that it's going to end any moment now - or that, whenever it does end, the end is going to be painful. You have more control over your situation than you imagine. You can't make everything in your emotional life go the way you want; but, with a little clever planning, you can avoid many problems. You don't know all there is to know! And that's one thing you definitely do know! Why, then, am I reminding you? Because I suspect that you suspect this makes you unsuitable to carry out a duty. But it is actually the very fact that you doubt yourself that means you're likely to think twice before you reach a decision. Better to be unsure than arrogant when it comes to the best way to proceed within an emotionally tense situation. Keep an open mind, have an open heart, retain an open option on the best possible future. This is due to be an exciting and significant time for us all.interestingly, you are currently making it easier for others to see parts of yourself that you often keep hidden. That, in turn, is making it easier for them to extend greater understanding and sympathy towards you.
All of which bodes well for constructive co-operation Destiny is waiting to greet you with open arms. Why might you not want to fall into that cosmic embrace? Do you suspect that destiny has something a little unpleasant up her sleeve? Do you think it might be safer and wiser to cross the street if you see her coming towards you? Or perhaps even to wear a disguise, so that destiny doesn't know that it is you! If destiny can be fooled in such a way, she isn't much of a goddess. And if she is truly as powerful as you fear, she had better be benign. She is benign - as soon you will see.
Have you ever walked into a room, scratched your head and realised that you have absolutely no idea why you went there in the first place? Though older people are more prone to be accused of such behaviour, it happens to us all from time to time. Indeed, you could argue that spiritually speaking, this describes the quandary faced by the entire human race. 'Now, hang on a moment, I must have come to this planet for some reason. I just can't remember... what was it?'..Have you ever noticed how annoying some people can be? Situations can be pretty irritating too. We say, 'I'm just about ready for whatever life throws at me' and then we brace ourselves for trouble. Yet trouble rarely takes the dramatic form that we expected. Instead, it manifests as a series of irksome, aggravating developments that try our patience and test our resolve. But things aren't always this bad. Every so often, we have wonderful days and lovely times. You have got just such a cheerful change to look forward to now. It is as if you are being driven towards a decision that one part of you doesn't really want to make. You are telling yourself one thing but your actions and choices seem to suggest a rather different agenda. Might it not be better to pay more attention to your heart, your conscience and your deepest inner need? None of this is going to go away if you ignore it. But if you acknowledge it, you may yet implement much positive change.
