Sometimea you need to simplify something in your emotional life. A situation has become too complicated. Too many confusing arguments have been deployed. Too many clever explanations have been offered. These have started to change the actual issue. You are so caught up in the 'ifs' and the 'buts' and the 'ands' and the 'maybes', that you are losing track of what matters most. Sometimes, when we feel something very deeply, we try to separate ourselves from our emotions by rationalising them. Try to think less about what you feel.
