Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.' Even non-believers like this scriptural promise, it sounds fair, somehow. Yet there is no mention in there of how long the meek may have to wait before they get their inheritance. Might it only be awarded to them once the
assertive and the belligerent have finished with it? You could argue that the meek have done pretty well to put up with non-delivery for nearly 2,000 years. Still, though, this is not a highly persuasive case for being meek. Be a little pushier. We feel good when we achieve what we have set out to accomplish. Indeed, we can derive so much satisfaction from this that it hardly occurs to us to stop and wonder whether any of it really needed to happen at all. Conversely, we feel fed-up when our plans go awry and it is scant comfort to realise that many of those plans were based on false assumptions and had been afforded an inappropriately high level of priority. Ask yourself what's important today. To do what you said you would do? Or to do what really needs doing?
You are slowly starting to make sense of a baffling situation. How are you supposed to reconcile the contradictory requirements that are being imposed upon you? You can't be in two places at once and nor can you be expected to give full support to two individuals who are at loggerheads. You have got divided loyalties. You have also got a series of logical non sequesters to wrestle with. No amount of intellectual analysis is going to help you sort all this out. You are just going to have to be patient and good-humoured.
Even when people are trying to withhold information from one another, they inadvertently drop hints and give clues. If these are not picked up, it is usually because the other person doesn't really want to know the truth. We all have a tendency to deceive ourselves. We see what we want to see - or what we feel we ought to see. Yet it would be very helpful for you now, to see at least a little more of what someone else might prefer you not to see. If you stop and think, it will soon become possible to identify this.
It is one thing to win a battle and another to win a war. Great tacticians soon learn to make this important distinction. A victory is hardly a triumph if it comes at too high a cost or if it unintentionally sets back the progress of a cause. If, for example, you want to disarm an opponent, it may prove helpful to let them feel that they have the upper-hand in a tense situation. This may cause them to lower their guard. Thus allowing you the freedom to make a move that they would otherwise be too quick to spot and stop.
Remember that Even the most organised, diligent people lose things. When the hunt begins in earnest for the misplaced item, it starts with a quest to check obvious locations. If those fail to produce results, we start searching in ever less likely places. Then we begin to entertain increasingly far-fetched ideas. Perhaps there has been a burglary? Or what if someone has taken it by mistake? It is not just objects that can be frustratingly hard to track down; you have all but given up on finding something that you need. But it is nearer than you think. When we find ourselves in a very familiar environment, we almost stop noticing it. Only if something has changed significantly do we even stop to pay attention.
When our surroundings are fresh to us, we are constantly taking stock and thus we become much more open to the possibility that a surprise could be in store. Much though you may now imagine that you are unlikely to make any great discovery in a set of circumstances that you recognise in so many ways, it contains an element of the delightfully unexpected.
Are you tired of trying too hard? Is your life beginning to seem like one long round of tasks to accomplish and problems to solve? What would happen if you were to stop pushing yourself quite so much? Might the world fall apart? Might disaster ensue? Or might you simply find that you are safe to breathe out and let go for a while? Your shoulders are getting tense from all the weight that you have placed upon them. You may yet find that you become far more efficient if you worry a little less and relax a little more.
If you normally travel by taxi, you may feel a little unhappy if one day, circumstances dictate that you must take the bus. If you are a regular bus passenger, you may have a similar reaction to the discovery that you are now required to walk. Yet these different modes of transport do not belong to a hierarchy. They are each just as enjoyable and effective, as long as we set our expectations a little differently and resolve to enjoy the benefits that they offer. All that really matters in your life now, is that you can get from A to B.
You are special. You are wonderful. You have the most glorious potential. Now, please don't get all cynical. Don't start thinking, 'Ah, but he's saying that to everyone born under my sign. He doesn't really mean me in particular.' This message is specifically for you and so is the following forecast. Your outlook is truly splendid and to capitalise on it, all you need to do is recognise and acknowledge your own value and importance. If you can see your way to do that, all else you need will start seeing its way to get to you.
THE FACT IS WE ARE SPECIAL!
