Children's fairy stories are not to be taken literally. As if to illustrate the futility of believing in those events and characters, they usually end with the phrase, 'and they all lived happily ever after'. How did they manage that then? How does anyone manage it? 'Ever after' is a very long time. And happiness is a notoriously elusive state. Yet events in store later, imply an unusually enhanced ability to enter such a mood. Don't worry about how long this will last. Just be ready to make the most of a fairytale outcome.
