Distracts self - presumably so that you can allow your unconscious mind to amble gently around the topic, until you stumbles across a solution. Admittedly, whilst the puzzle that you are trying to solve now is all too real, there is a lesson here. It is especially relevant because you may not yet have all the pieces of your jigsaw. Ignore your sense of urgency and trust your hunches.We all make plans and we all find, sooner or later, that some of those plans can't be easily executed. Is that because there is something wrong with our capacity to think strategically? Or is it simply the nature of the universe? Perhaps nobody, no matter how great their powers of observation and analysis, can consistently get round the unpredictability of the universe. If something doesn't seem to be working, don't waste precious energy  wondering how or where you have failed.
