It is just a set of numbers on a calendar. It doesn't actually have an intention, but you do. You intend to be kinder to yourself. And one way in which you can honour this is by making a determined effort to place the most optimistic interpretation upon every development. Indeed, you can go further still and resolve to think equally kind, hopeful, thoughts about the non-developments and the things for which you are being made to wait. Patience will reward you. Even the cleverest people make silly mistakes. Those amusing old stories of absent minded professors and the tales of folk blessed with genius level IQ who can still manage to overlook the obvious, are probably all founded on fact. An error that you may have made in the past is not proof of any inherent or ongoing failing. As you now forgive yourself for this, be similarly willing this weekend to see how others are smarter than you had recently begun to fear. If you want the best, think the best of everyone, including yourself! There is only one way to climb a mountain. One step at a time! There is only one way too, to successfully tackle a daunting task. We have to break it up into small operations and carry each of these out in sequence. Nothing is to be gained from standing back, assessing the enormity of the challenge and allowing yourself to feel intimidated. Everything will be fine. You know what you have to do - and, in your heart of hearts now, you also know that you are the perfect person to do it. You've got what it takes. Crack on.
