Space stretches out forever. There is no wall at the end of the universe. Time goes on forever too. There was never a Day One, there will never be a Last Moment. That's what eternity means and that's what we are a part of! It is all a bit mind-blowing really. No wonder most folk prefer to talk about soap operas and sandwiches. But these forces that act on us all yet which are so difficult to envisage, let alone understand, are essentially, beautifully, benign. Despite your fears, the cosmos is being kind to you now.
Some herbalists believe that if a person is unwell, the plants most likely to be helpful will be growing near their homes. This idea stems from a vision of a benevolent universe, so supportive, that it knows what we will all need long before we ever know that we need it. Is this just an example of far-fetched idealism? Maybe not. Time, after all, is a very different thing to the cosmos than it is to the likes of you and me. Now, what are your current physical or psychological needs? Experiment with an extension of this old idea today.
