Are there some days when you have more power over your destiny than you do on others? Of course not. How can there be. There are, though, some days when you can feel much more conscious of what power you have. Moods matter a lot. When we feel hopeless, we tend to be hopeless. Recent developments in your emotional life have had a big impact on your mood. You feel, by turns, sure that you are now ready to assert your will and succeed - and equally sure that there is no point. But there is a point!
Some people enter into relationships in the hope that this will absolve them from the need to face their fears and conquer their demons. Secure in the knowledge they have found a partner, they figure, they will then be able to relax and lead a contented life without conflict or challenge. Those who approach partnerships with such expectations swiftly become disappointed. Life is now obliging you to look at what you are really learning (and how you are truly gaining) from a close involvement.
Various fads and fashions crop up in the world of diet and weight loss. Some years ago, for example, the 'Atkins method' was all the rage. The new popular regime involves two days a week of a strictly limited calorie intake, while the rest of the time we may consume what we choose. Does it work? The jury is still out. But for as long, at least, as we imagine that they are effective, we can try them. Might you now be applying such a fanciful solution to an issue in your emotional life? There may be a wiser way to proceed now.
If your heart is in the right place everything else in your world will turn out right. In your emotional life now, listen to what your better judgement is telling you and acknowledge the importance of compassion, tolerance and sensitivity. This world is full of people who force things to happen by sheer weight of their will. Those, however, who are prepared to listen to inspiration instead of fear, invariably discover that they don't need to fight so hard. Express goodwill and you may yet be granted a refreshing experience.
