'Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.' Or so we are all informed. Why, though, should angels ever be afraid of anything? It's not that they are timid; it's just that they are cautious. They are also invisible. We can't see them at work. Fools by contrast, are easy to detect. They don't care how much scrutiny they are subjected to as long as they get things done. So, when, an angel wants to protect their anonymity, they find it useful to dress themselves up as a fool.Dare you open your heart? How much trust should you place in a promise? Let us imagine that you are contemplating a financial gamble. On the one hand, nothing ventured, nothing gained. On the other, well the first law of gambling is that you must never, ever, bet more than you afford to lose. Even if it seems churlish to hold back, you have a right and a need to dip a tentative toe into the water before diving in from some great height.
