Often, successful people become like kids trying to construct a tower out of playing cards. They know that the higher they build the more inevitable it is that there will come a moment of collapse. Each carefully, daringly placed piece on the pile adds to the mood of nervousness. For those with a faint heart or a weak disposition it is almost easier not to try.  rob yourself of all satisfaction? How hard it is for us to admit ignorance. How much we like to feel as if we are fully in control. How our opinions give us a sense of strength. How our fixed ideas buoy up our egos.
