Some experiences seem to be pointless. Things happen to us for reasons that we cannot fathom. We try our best to be philosophical and to look at the lessons that perhaps we ought to learn. But what if the only lesson is that there is no lesson? What if the only point is to stop looking for the point? A recent set of stressful circumstances have begun to eat away at your natural buoyancy. You feel more sceptical than you have felt in a long while. Yet, soon your faith in a better, more meaningful world, will be restored. What makes the world go round? Is it money? Is it music? Is it love? Or might it be greed, anger and revenge? Aren't these more powerful motivating forces? People do what they do because they have points to prove or scores to settle. Or so it seems. Fortunately, that's a wild exaggeration and the kind of cynical idea that we all tend to develop when we are feeling a bit beaten or blue. What really makes the world go round is something much sweeter and softer. Enjoy the ray of golden hope.
