When we watch a forest in autumn or a garden in spring, we can be overwhelmed by the beauty. Similarly, if we see a glorious sunset or a stunning rainbow. Yet the same forces that give rise to all this magic, can also produce violent storms and terrifying seismic shifts. You and I are creations of nature too. At our best we can be magnificent and at our worst? Well, let's not go too fast, too far, towards the end of that sentence. Just remember if you have a choice between fear and admiration. Pick the latter. 'A quotation is a handy thing to have about, saving one the trouble of thinking for oneself, always a laborious business.' So said. Yet wisdom is not always an easy thing to quantify. There are no scales of measurement or convenient tests to take. Indeed, some of the wisest people on our planet have no idea that they are actually wise. Be wary of any advice that purports to be based on wisdom. And don't be too hasty to dismiss what at first sounds foolish.
