We all want to do our bit to help create a better world. That's wonderful. But what if we become so enthusiastic that it affects our judgement and, in the very act of trying to defend what we perceive to be right, we end up doing something inexcusably wrong? How can doing a bad thing for a good cause, make that bad thing so much as one iota less bad? It is very important to follow your highest code of personal ethics now, regardless of the pressure or temptation to justify a dodgy compromise. Some people, it seems, get it wrong, no matter how hard they try to get it right. It is as if there is something that they just don't understand. They make errors of judgement without even judging themselves as having made so much as a slip. What are you supposed to say to such people? Is there really any point in trying to say anything at all? Or must you just work around the edges of whatever mess they appear to be creating, doing your best to limit the damage? Try to be graceful. World is strange mix of good and bad!
