You  must  be aware that some processes are likely to take longer and prove more complicated than you might like.It seems as if life is full of things that you can't do. Either you aren't allowed to or you can't afford to or you will upset someone enormously if you do. Or may be, there is another reason. What if deep down within, the truth is that something within you really doesn't want to. It is almost as if you are hunting for reasons to pin the blame elsewhere for this reluctance. If that's the case, you really need to think about whether you are wasting your own time. The more honest you are with yourself, the more progress you will make.
We all have a capacity to be our own best friend - and our own worst enemy. We can think thoughts that cheer us up, raise our spirits and lead us on to great success. Or we can indulge dark, looming, lurking, fears. We can plan such pessimistic pictures of our own futures that it begins to seem as if there is no reason left to feel hopeful, ever again. What determines this? Is it dependent on the reality of a difficult situation? Not really. It is entirely a matter of choice.Allow yourself a mood that is worth being. We should always try to learn from the past. But the past isn't necessarily geared up to provide any of us with an education. It contains no classrooms or desks. It may appear to offer lecturers but these are often self-appointed, with axes to grind and biased points to make. We may discover, if we listen too carefully to those tutors, that we have studied the wrong curriculum and have gained no useful admission to any further course. Be wary today, about the conclusions you draw from yesterday.
Understanding takes effort. It is particularly difficult to grasp how a process works or what motivates a particular person if we happen to be having an intense reaction to something that is going on. The more involved we feel, the more emotional we are, the trickier it is to stand back and apply a calm, clear, sense of perspective. Yet, usually, the more dramatic our response to a set of circumstances, the more essential it is for us to attempt to observe them objectively. You can at least do that.
Are people like sheep? Well, they don't grow woolly coats! Nor (other than at festival times) do they tend to spend many hours hanging around in fields. But they definitely do have a tendency to let themselves be herded. You need to look at why you are following a trend or going along with a set of ideas that others seem happy enough to accept. Does all that amount to a good enough reason for you to comply to? You aren't 'people'. You are a person, a unique individual. It is time to assert that.
Let us suppose that it is all 'written'. Every aspect of every life, yours and mine included, has been planned in advance down to the last detail. We have no say in anything. We are just tortured, occasionally, by circumstances that make it briefly appear as if our choices may count or as if our free will is truly free. Wouldn't that be the meanest, most miserable trick that the universe could ever play on itself - or any aspect of itself. This world is not so cruel. You really do have a say in how the situation turns out.
What is intuition? Does it simply involve 'having a good feeling' about someone or something? There may be many other reasons why we get such a feeling and not all of them are necessarily good! We sometimes confuse each other. We may, for example, reward actions that we approve of or express our distaste for behaviour that upsets us. The feeling we communicate at such times can easily be misinterpreted. It is important to know the difference between playing a hunch and playing to the gallery.
