When the going gets tough, the tough often seem to become ever more reliant on protocol and precedent. They like to stick with time-honoured tradition. They feel that things are uncertain enough already without introducing a new note of experimentation or innovation. Such a response is very understandable but it can also be regrettable. Often, when the pressure is on, that is when the most quick-thinking minds have pioneering ideas that could make all the difference. Don't retreat too far into an artificial comfort zone. People like to impose rules and requirements upon each other. 'You can't go here, you've got to go there. That option is not allowed. This is what well-behaved individuals do.' From the earliest age we become adept at looking out for codes that we might be inadvertently contravening. We none of us want to end up in trouble. Yet in steering ourselves towards such a mindset of dutiful compliance, we sometimes miss out on the most magnificent opportunities. What prevents you from stretching a point .
