Do you know anyone who has actually gone looking for a needle in a haystack? No. Nor do I! How strange then that we both feel so willing to trust the suggestion that this is such a difficult thing to find. We hear people say this and we nod sagely in agreement. 'Oh yes, those needles. Those haystacks.' But I'll tell you what it is extremely easy to find. Fault. In anything - or anyone! You don't even have to track it down. Just stick around for a little while and it will show itself to you. Some people are atheists because they cannot accept the idea of a benign, divine creator who protects them. They see it as a fairytale, an affront to the intelligence. Others form this view only after they come to feel that too many of their prayers have been left unanswered. They replaced their lost faith with what they feel is a greater sense of realism. Even the most devout are reluctant to rely entirely on the hand of God for help. But you may soon witness an inspiring coincidence for which it is very hard to find a more earthly explanation. When we stop to think about how loyal you are we soon begin to understand why you expect so much from others. You uphold the highest standards. Your integrity is impeccable. There is nothing you wouldn't do to support a cause in which you had faith. Yet the people around you are not invariably so wholehearted and committed. Even when they try their best, there may be times when their best falls short of the target that you feel it ought to attain. Try not to let this be a bone of contention.
