Imagine that you want to purchase something. The price is high. You fear that you can't afford it. One way to make it seem cheaper is to look for an even more expensive alternative. By comparison, that costly item is a bargain. By playing such psychological tricks on ourselves, we can justify various choices that might neither be wise nor prudent. Sadly, though, those techniques won't also help us generate the wherewithal to pay the bill. Are you settling for something now simply because the alternative is even worse? It speaks of your need to overcome a fear and make a wise decision. Lately, you have been paying too much attention to a gnawing doubt, a bone of contention or a source of stress. All this has made you vulnerable. You may act tough but you now find it hard to deny the depth of a powerful emotion. The next big move you make needs to be informed by common sense as well as sensitivity.Have you ever fallen asleep on a train? When the vehicle finally rolled into your station, were you unable to wake up and disembark in time? Did you have you have to stay aboard, cursing yourself, and seething with frustration as you started to plan the best way to get back to the destination that you had just overshot? If you have ever had this kind of experience - or even if you haven't but you can imagine it and would like to avoid it - pay heed. You are now closer than you think to an opportunity that should not be missed.
