Parables. Legends. Myths and stories. We use them to illustrate important points. After a while, the events of our own past start to serve a similar purpose. We look back and remember how various developments played out. We decide that we will let this be a lesson to us. Sometimes, though, we draw the wrong conclusion. We learn the wrong lesson. The way you are looking at a piece of history is now preventing you from creating a better tomorrow.
All the world may well be a stage - and we may all will be players but it often seems as if our scripts have come late. There is never enough time to rehearse. We find ourselves repeating lines that we have used before. So here's question. Is your life a random collection of one-act playlets or a tightly woven, carefully planned tale in which various threads and subplots slowly come together to make an epic drama? Trust the idea of cogency and coherence. And prepare for a most delightful, inspiring revelation.
You yourself don't entirely know what would constitute a happy outcome.you will be pleased with the outcome in the end. But maybe you won't like every moment of the journey. If discomfort occurs, it can only be because you are confused about what role you are trying to play... and why.. Is that good news? Yes and no. Though it is important to see what has really been going on, it is unnerving to discover that all is not quite as you thought it was. But if you are willing to work with what you discover, you can make everything come right. But happily, the best advice is always simple and straightforward. You now face a set of restrictions. You may imagine that you have hardly any room to manoeuvre.
Actually, though, you simply don't have quite enough space in which to make the wrong moves. The right moves are the ones you feel instinctively drawn to. Follow these, regardless of how many clever and eloquent arguments you may hear in favour or against! You want an easy life? Who are you kidding? That's just one of the things you say when you are tired. You no more mean it than you mean any of the heated remarks you sometimes make. Would you really like a wish-granting fairy to be taking you at your word in the midst of some feverish rant? Some dreams are much more satisfying as dreams. Where, if they were to become a reality, would be the challenge you thrive on?If you want to behold a breathtaking phoenix you must first be prepared to witness an awesome inferno. If you want to revel in the glory of a rainbow, you'd better be prepared to travel to a place where there's likely to be some rain.
Life often obliges us to take the rough with the smooth. Even if we crave an experience of the good without the bad, that's a pipedream. You are currently aware of something that seems very unsatisfactory. Soon, though, you will discover what's so exceptionally positive about it.You may be short of resources. You may also be less than delighted about particular aspects of your emotional life - but all is far from lost. You should really be glad of the fact that you are so disenchanted with a set of circumstances. It is these, (and a particular person's role within them) that you have to thank for giving you the motivation to make major changes. For a long time, you have been thinking that things can't carry on in the same old way. But you have not been able to see how to alter them.
Candy floss is a good example. Or cotton candy, as they call it in the USA. When you first bite it, There seems to be a lot, but when you really sink in your teeth, there is nothing very substantial at all. A slight hint of flavour. A general feeling of being 'tricked'. Problems are a bit like that. They look much bigger than they actually are. They get whipped up with the intensity of worry till they seem to occupy all the available space.Imagine if our memories only worked in 'real time'. If ever we wanted to recall an event, we'd have to mentally revisit at the same pace as the event itself took place. No speeding up the film or jumping around between the most intense moments. This might be convenient if we were looking for detailed accuracy, but... well, look... We all have it within our power to speed up or slow down thought. This sometimes means we forget how long some positive processes must take. Remember that, relax and trust this.
Like a teacher who is trying to silence a classroom full of unruly kids, it seems to you as if the only way to attain a sense of order is to make some dramatic gesture. You have lately had more than enough of an untenable arrangement. You feel as if you have been patient with something or someone for too long. Ask yourself whether things are really as unacceptable as you imagine... or if, with just a small change of outlook, you could yet find the enormous silver lining in a comparatively small cloud.
People are a bit like chickens. They fight for their place in the pecking order. They scratch about looking for grains of status that they can proudly claim. It is as if they are always making comparisons to see how they shape up next to the other people around then. Yet the more they do this, the more they do themselves a disservice. Don't waste your time wondering what you are worth... and to whom! Know your true value! You are about to discover, you are not a flightless bird... you are a true, magnificent eagle!
