Surprisingly Imagine, please, two signs, both made of metal. On one, the word 'hot' has been carefully painted. On the other is written the word, 'cold'. The one marked 'hot' has been placed in a deep freeze. The one marked 'cold' has been put in a furnace. So, what are we going to trust? The words that we can read or the things that we can feel? You need to go beyond your perception of how things ought to be and make an independent assessment of how they actually are. From this you might make a very valuable discovery.
If you take a silver coin and bury it in the garden, it won't grow into a money tree. And if you pop down to the nearest bank and pass an acorn to the cashier, you can't expect it to earn you any interest. For an investment to pay off, there has to be a degree of discrimination. You've got to know a little bit about what you are doing, why you are doing it and where might be the best place for it to be done. With that in mind, let us now look again at your options and your assets. They are good. You just need to be clever.
It is all too easy to succumb to fear. This emotion is as persuasive as any sales person, as seductive as any charm school graduate. With a beckoning finger and an encouraging nod, anxiety disguises itself as interest and attracts our attention. Then slowly, it reveals its true nature. By this time, it has us in its icy grip. There is only one way to get out from such a cold place and that is by generating the heat of your own inner-confidence. Nothing can beat you now, apart from your own fear that perhaps you can be beaten.
How much of the universe do you control? How much power do you have over others? Do you think that, if you were to concentrate really hard and pray from the bottom of your heart, you could resolve the Korean crisis? Or solve the Syrian civil war? You can't even get rid of the local political party that you don't think should be in power! So what hope is there then of achieving any more influence than that? Don't let those limitations blind you to the power that you actually do have. That, today at least, is sufficient for your needs.
When Allah Din needed to enter the secret magical cave where the djinn was hidden within a lamp, he is supposed to have uttered the special phrase, 'Open sesame.' How did that work? Are there really words so magical and powerful that simply by articulating them, we can take power over the natural world? Isn't that all just the stuff of fairytales? Don't be too quick to discount your own power to bring about change just by saying the right thing at the right time, today. And you do know what to say, don't you?Let's try a little exercise. Close your eyes. Now, what does the rest of this forecast say? You don't know! You can only find that out if you look. If you follow my first piece of advice without waiting to hear the second part, we are not going to get anywhere, are we? Point taken? Okay then. Now, you need to open your eyes and look very bravely at a factor that you might far prefer to ignore. Having done this, you need to take the only obvious course of action. That's the second part of the advice. It will pay big dividends.
